Volkswagen Group, a company who were one of the first to show interest in electrification of vehicles have come up with their updated 2021 Volkswagen ID.4, their all electric 5 seater crossover. It seems like the company is betting its future in electric vehicles. The ID brand is what the company is looking forward to set up as its all electric division. The company has a goal of becoming carbon neutral by the year 2050.
The ID.4 looks like it is targeting to capture some of the space in the market left empty by the lack of an affordable Tesla Model Y. Thanks to its balanced blend of luxury, comfort, and technology and design
aesthetics.

The dash of the car looks rather minimalistic, there’s not too much of switches and buttons going on everywhere. The 10.4 inch infotainment screen is what stands out. The ID.4 has launched with 3 trims: 1st
edition, Pro, Pro S. The 1st edition comes with a 12 inch touch infotainment screen, the Pro S comes with a 10 inch unit.
Well as far as the specifications of the car go, the car features a rear wheel drivetrain, it is powered by a 150kW electric motor that churns out 201 hp and 310 Nm of torque which helps it to sprint from 0 to 62
miles in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 100 miles (160 km). It has 82 kWh battery and provides 254 miles (410 km) of range.

So to conclude, with a price starting from $33,995, our verdict is you can definitely consider this vehicle, it is a more affordable offering and is targeted towards the ones who can’t afford the pricier offerings from the likes of the Audi E-tron, Jaguar I-Pace or the Polestar.
