Automobile manufacturers are starting to see the potential in EV automobiles and the recent surge of the EV automobile industry. A number of car manufacturers have proposed that they are going to start off with an entirely different product line of EV automobiles. However when it comes to motorcycles, it seems like Harley – Davidson has taken the big step of proposing the project Live Wire electric Bikes, which will be whirled off into an all-electric brand.
The project Live Wire has been around for some years now, with the prototype first seen in one of the Avengers movie: The Age of Ultron. The company has been working on several prototypes since then.
Harley-Davidson is strategizing the Live Wire brand as a leader in the electric motorcycle market. With a mission to be the most desirable electric bike brand in the world and to pioneer the electric bike domain. “We are planning to innovate and develop such kind of a technology where it will be compatible with Harley-Davidson electric motorcycles in the future as well,” explained Jochen Zeitz, Chairman, President and CEO of Harley –Davidson Motors.
The bike is expected to give a brilliant 146 mile range on a full charge. Battery capacity of 12.8V, 15.5ah with fast charge. The bike will churn out a handsome 105 bhp and 116 nm of torque.
Harley-Davidson has confirmed that the first Live Wire branded electric motorcycle will revealed on the 8th of July, 2021.
We are keeping our fingers crossed to hear from the brand how much units the brand is planning to build and in which markets it will be made available other than North America.
